EquiTech Announces Change in Management

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - April 3, 2006) - EquiTech Corporation (TSX VENTURE:EQT) ("EquiTech") is pleased to announce that Dr. Fakhreddin Jamali has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Jamali is currently the Chief Scientific Officer of EquiTech and is one of the founders of the company.

James Chivers-Wilson, President and CEO of EquiTech has resigned effective March 31, 2006. EquiTech would like to thank Mr. Chivers-Wilson for all of his efforts over the past years and wish him the best in his future endeavours.
