EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - April 18, 2006) - Dr. Fakhreddin Jamali, CEO of EquiTech Corporation (TSX VENTURE:EQT) is pleased to welcome Mr. Hafid Touam CEO of TLO LLC, a Philadelphia based company specialized in business development and pharmaceutical licensing to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Touam has over 20 years experience in licensing and business development specializing in novel drug delivery technologies. Mr. Touam's knowledge and personal network in this area will benefit the Company in its efforts to enter into commercial partnerships for its product pipeline.
